Bushidog
Hello there!
This is my entry for Samurai Jam, as a Solo DEV.
PRESS U FOR FULL-SCREEN
PRESS F or SELECT (gamepad) TO RESTART FROM CHECKPOINT
Bushidog is a platformer about doing cool stunts to traverse the levels. You cannot change the way you're facing like the usual platformer game! You can only change direction when bumping into a wall.
You can jump, dash, backflip, turn flip, and do all kinds of movement to help you get exactly where you want and get all the collectables. Timing is key! Some moves can be used together with others to do specific things.
Includes a speedrun mode for the willing (he-he).
Controls:
Up/W/Space: Jump
Right/D when facing forward: Dash Attack
Left/A when facing forward: Backflip
There's also a wall kick, wall slide, and even a secret backflip move!
Space/Enter: Confirm
This game can also be played with a GamePad. The controls are easy to understand and there are on-screen controls if you need them.
Optional Themes used:
- Cinema: The theme/background of the game is about a samurai dog making a movie.
- Don't stop moving: The character is always moving. You just control their abilities in order to make they go where you want

Oh. And in case anyone wants to beat me at my own game, this is my current 100% PB: 05:38
i really enjoyed the game but idk gow to pass the bombs/spike in take3
Hi! Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I think you mean the spike sequence after getting through the door, right?
It requires backflipping to get to the highest point, and then dashing at the end of the platform. Check this out:
Now if you meant the first set of spikes: the first one you can jump over. The second one requires a dash + jump. However, the jump needs to be performed after the dash starts, which means after the charge up time, otherwise you'll end up with almost no speed
i meant the seconed one and now it feels obvious lmao
